Training Schedule Changes

Due to the Australian Selection Competition at the AIS in Canberra this weekend there will be no training on Friday the 3rd October or Saturday the 4th October

There will be no Senior Classes on Monday night for the duration of Term 4

Australian Team Selection Event

The selection event in Canberra will be selecting Australian teams for the following WTF sanctioned competitions:

2008 Commonwealth Championships (Juniors and Seniors) to be held in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, Nov.22-23

2008 Oceania Championships (Juniors and Seniors) to be held in Auckland, New Zealand 6th and 7th of December

2008 World Poomse Championships, Ankara Turkey December 12 to 14 2008

Australian Team Selection Event

Sports Taekwondo Australia is proud to announce details of the next selection event to be held for the purpose of selection Australian teams to the following WTF sanctioned competitions:

2008 Commonwealth Championships (Juniors and Seniors) to be held in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, Nov.22-23

2008 Oceania Championships (Juniors and Seniors) to be held in Auckland, New Zealand 6th and 7th of December

2008 World Poomse Championships, Ankara Turkey December 12 to 14 2008

The selection of Australian Junior and Senior teams for the above WTF sanctioned events will be determined by the one selection event to be held in October 2008.

Date: 3rd - 5th October 2008 (coincides with school holidays)

Where: Canberra, ACT

Venue: Australian Institute of Sport

Further details will be provided such as accommodation options, schedule of events as well as the entry forms and other important details in the next few days. Keep an eye on the STA web site (www.sta.asn.au) for further details.

This selection event will be hosted by the ACT Division of Taekwondo Australia and STA is extremely grateful for their assistance and co-operation in hosting this very important large-scale selection event.

Online Registration for Tournaments
Taekwondo Victoria has introduced online registration for Victorian Tournaments. The online registration can be accessed by selecting the "Competition Registration" Item in the menu on the left.

TRAINING EQUIPMENT:
If students are interested in purchasing training shoes, kicking mitts or other protective gear such as chest guards, head guards and arm and shin guards, they should contact the instructors so that the equipment can be ordered for them. Prices are available from the instructors.
